Review: Kyubey Girl Dakimakura Cover [NSFW]

Unofficial dakimakura covers have this nice tendency to be far more perverted than any official one will ever be, and they sometimes come up with rather original concepts.

Like this one, a female anthropomorphic Kyubey. In loli-form.

I got her last week from BWStore.com.tw, one of my favourite stores for dakimakura covers considering they have some of the best artists around, and have great fabric and printing quality.

This one’s drawn by Mouse5175 – here’s his blog, and his Pixiv account.

The price is a small drawback though: ¥13000 including EMS shipping.

As usual, one side is less perverted than the other, that’s this one.

Somehow Kyubey looks pretty good as a girl, even with the ears, tail and whatever those long things of the side of her head are.

Close-up; plenty of detail here. Her ears actually look fluffy, which is a nice trick considering it’s basically just shades of white.

Closer-up; very tight knitting – 2way tricot is the preferred fabric for these unofficial ones, though some manufacturers give you a choice of fabrics, in case you want cheaper but more plastic-y fabrics, the kind that’s the standard for official ones, especially those that come with magazines. Luckily, due to these unofficial ones becoming more popular you can now very often choose tricot knit for official covers as well (generally called ‘Smooth type’), and some manufacturers of unofficial ones don’t even offer anything below 2way tricot. BWStore is one of them, which means all their covers have a real nice peach-skin feel to them.

These covers also show how insanely good fabric printing has become lately, I’ve had printers that print less accurately than whatever they use to print these covers, very smooth gradients and sharp lines.

The other side isn’t safe for work, so view at your own risk.
