Stuff I Want: Swimsuits!

These beauties opened for preorders last week. It’s not quite the right weather for the clothing yet – and by the time they’re released it’s a bit too late for them, but still – beautiful.

First one – a 1/4 scale Takamachi Nanoha in bikini by Gift. From Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha The MOVIE 1st according to the data, but according to my friends there’s no beach-scenes in there. I’ll have to take their word for since I haven’t seen it yet.

Yes – 1/4 scale. 27 cm tall. Massive, and it’s one of the few large scale figurines that actually looks good. I mean, FREEing releases them quite often, but they’re always just off. Great bodies, but they rarely get the faces right – always a bit flat. This one’s perfect.

And she comes with a big pink floater with her name on it, a nice extra.

Release date: August 2012, ¥9000 at Hobbystock.

Next up, 1 of 2 new additions to Waves Beach Queen line-up: Takayama Maria  from Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai in a white swimsuit, also with a floater.

I don’t like the face somehow, something with the eyes, but I can’t quite put my finger on it… I do love the little canine though, and the hair’s pretty, so I still want her.

And the floater is simple but pretty, it fits her childish behaviour.

Release date: October 2012, ¥3392 at Hobbystock.

Beach Queen number 2:  Shiguma Rika, also from Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai. Simple yellow bikini and a lab-coat befitting a mad scientist.

She comes with a removable pair of glasses. I like her better with them, but that’s my glasses-fetish talking, and she’s pretty without them as well.

Release date: October 2012, ¥3392 at Hobbystock.

And finally these 2 cuties, from Penguin Parades Petanko-line: Anjou Naruko and Honma Meiko, better known as Anaru and Memna, from – *takes a deep breath* Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai *gasps for air*. A very good anime with a ridiculously long name; even the licensed title – Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day – is pretty long.

Anyway, a pair of super cute SD figurines; too bad there’s not more figurines of them out there, I can think of 1 other Menma of the top of my head, but that one was just a bit too bland for my tastes. Oh well, I’ll just wait.

Release date: July 2012, ¥2100 each at Hobbystock.
