Unboxing: Touwa Erio Beach Queen by Wave

And here’s the third unboxing I promised – uploaded a bit back by now, but might still be new to some people.

Tomorrow will bring a new What’s in the Box?, and hopefully either another video from the Japanfestival or an unboxing.

Enjoy!

Stuff I Want: Crying Wallet Edition

20120708-top

Well would you look at that, it’s a preview-image! I hope you like it, since it took me about 30 minutes to make, what with me messing up and cutting of the wrong bits of the images all the time.

“Why is this the Crying Wallet Edition?” I hear you ask. Well, just one simple click below will reveal the answer!

Unboxing: Amano Touka Nendoroid by GSC

And here’s today’s unboxing: Good Smile Company’s Nendoroid incarnation of Amano Touka, the Book Girl who’s absolutely not a demon. Or a gremlin. But she is incredibly cute.

Apart from CthulhAmano, though it is one of the more unique Nendoroid-faces you can get.

Also, sorry about the weird glitch after about 10 minutes, my camera decided to stop recording all of a sudden. And it had some trouble focussing, so I’m sorry it’s a quite a bit out of focus in the second half of the video. I’m probably not going to use AF anymore… though with the lack of better lighting I sort of need to. Ah well, something to worry about tomorrow when I’m shooting more videos.

Enjoy this one for now! (Also, note it’s longer than 15 minutes! Yay longer upload limit ^_^b)

Unboxing: Saber Alter by Good Smile Company

I really should stop procrastinating  and actually post things here… I shall blame it on partying last weekend due to it being my birthday on Sunday. All the other times I shall blame on laziness.

Anyhow, I got around to filming 3 more unboxings, and will be posting them up here for the next few days, and in the mean time I’ll film a few more and render out the latest unboxing video (from last weekend), and I’ve also got some more videos from the Japanfestival to render out, one overview and one for the karate-demonstration. I might also film another unboxing tonight, since even more things arrived at my parents’ place during the week, if I don’t get around to that, I’ll do that next weekend.

And I’m still waiting for my LED video lamp I ordered… It’s been 1,5 month now, and the tracking code gives up 2 different statuses, one of which can’t physically be possible, the other indicating it got shipped back to China for some unknown reason. So until that’s sorted, lighting’s going to be fairly wonky, as I’m reliant on sunlight, which isn’t constant with clouds moving around. At least my 50mm lens is pretty light-sensitive, and I’ll get a 35mm soon, which means better close-up shots, and when combined with the video lamp, proper lighting.

For now, enjoy the unboxing:

Unboxing: Fiolina Germi by Embrace Japan

Today’s unboxing: Fiolina Germi from Metal Slug 4 by Embrace Japan.

Please forgive me for mispronouncing her name for the entire video – I really shouldn’t record these when I’m tired.

As usual – watch it at 720p or it’ll look horrible.

Bought from Hobbystock for ¥8316 (RRP ¥8800).

Stuff I Want: Swimsuits!

20120407-nanoha-5

These beauties opened for preorders last week. It’s not quite the right weather for the clothing yet – and by the time they’re released it’s a bit too late for them, but still – beautiful.

Stuff I Want: Kobato & Maria Catgirls

In the category of “Shut Up And Take My Money!”: Hasegawa Kobato and Takayama Maria, from Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukanai, by Max Factory.

Just over 13 cm tall at 1/7 scale, I found both of them a few days ago on MFC, and was seriously hoping they wouldn’t be opened up for pre-order for a while. Then, Hobbystock sent out their newsletter today, and sure enough – open for pre-order…

Oh well, at  ¥5100 each, it could’ve been worse, and they are very pretty, especially the eyes.

Unboxing: Aisaka Taiga Nendoroid

All righty, here’s the unboxing video I promised:

Review: Misaka Imouto by Penguin Parade

Right, small change of plans: review today, unboxing tomorrow.

Up for scrutiny today is Misaka Imouto, which is basically the same base figurines as the Misaka Mikoto I reviewed yesterday with some of the parts changed out, so I’ll keep this one a bit shorter, read up on the other one to get the full picture – I’m just going to look at the Imouto-only parts in this one.

Review: Misaka Mikoto by Penguin Parade

Since I finally got some glue to fix Misaka Imouto’s rifle that I broke while  unboxing her (twice…), I finally got up to shooting the photos for this review and the two following it!

First up: Misaka Mikoto by Penguin Parade.
